The president of Thompson Engineering Company in Danvers, Massachusetts, Kevin Murphy has overseen the development of new electrical systems for a wide range of commercial and institutional buildings. Specifically, he has worked on the installation of electrical systems in educational facilities, such as public and private schools and college buildings. Kevin Murphy participates in every stage of electrical projects, beginning with the electrical drawings and continuing through all phases of design.

In addition to creating electrical system plans, Kevin Murphy evaluates existing electrical systems, conducting and preparing feasibility studies to determine the best strategy for renovating and updating buildings. He holds a bachelor of science from the University of Maine. He joined Thompson Engineering Company full-time in 1992 as a design engineer, and in 1995, he became a project manager. He has served as president since 1999.

Mr. Murphy balances the responsibilities of small business operation with extracurricular activities such as playing golf.
